Atlanta EarthCraft Certified
The EarthCraft House Program is a program developed through a partnership betweeen the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and the enviornmental agency, Southface Energy Institute. EarthCraft House is a voluntary green building program that serves as a blueprint for healthy, comfortable homes that reduce utility bills and protect the environment.
Every house that is EarthCraft certified must meet the following requirements:
- Each house must pass criteria on categories from site planning and energy efficient buiding systems, to indoor air quality and water conservation.
- ENERGY STAR certification criteria to meet or exceed strict energy efficiency guildelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agengy.
- Each house must be built to EarthCraft specifications, and have a Pre-drywall inspection by an independent EarthCraft House Inspector.
- Each house must pass a Final Inspection by an EarthCraft House Inspector.
